Starter Power units come in three different voltages: 24V Cells, giving 25.8V starting voltage; 26V Cells, giving 28V starting; and 28V Cells, giving 30.1V starting voltage. They are manufactured with an output range from 1000Amps to 5000Amps for aircraft starting. The units are fitted with sealed lead acid high-discharge batteries, and they are relatively small and light-weight for the power.

As the batteries are approved as non-hazardous cargo for aviation, the Starters can be carried onboard the aircraft, making them essential as emergency power for helicopters landing in locations outside their bases, such as, for instance, offshore platforms. Also, the Starters are vital for all in cold weather conditions when the aircraft is parked outside, which can significantly decrease the capacity of the aircraft’s batteries.

These Starters are widely used at the maintenance hangars and heliports, and they are greatly appreciated by the aircraft owners in the private aviation sector
